Oh hi, Tommy!

So tonight I played football beneath the Washington Monument with famed cinéaste Tommy Wiseau. Actually, it wasn't really football, though it's played with a football; it's called "haw" (as in, "Let's go eat, haw?"), and it's very popular in LA, where groups of as many as a dozen play it in the limited spaces available there. Tommy's a cool, friendly guy—he offered Mike a job on his legal team—he taught us a new game, and then we watched his semi-nude photo shoot beside the monument. Quite a wild, memorable evening. Hats off to you, Mr. Wiseau.

  1. It's true, we've dropped the ball lately. I can't speak for Matt, but I fell behind a few weeks ago when a little thing called finishing law school came up. That's no longer an excuse, of course, but the fact that I'm three posts behind in my planned "Lost" posting schedule (one post for the series finale and two for the six episodes preceding it) means that getting back on the horse is a bit of a daunting prospect time- and energy-wise. It will happen, though.

I'm torn between wanting new movie posts, and thinking it would be lovely if this post remained at the top of the page forever. It's tough....

In the spirit of getting things moving, I'll give you a very outdated mini-review. I just watched Confessions of a Shopoholic (thanks, Instant Watch) - and it was so much worse than I could have ever imagined. That's really all I can say.

More timely: City Island is still playing - and if you guys haven't seen it yet, I'd recommend. :)
